Chloroprene rubber (CR)

What is chloroprene rubber?

Chloroprene rubber is a synthetic elastomer that has good chemical resistance, as well as good ozone and aging resistance. CR is also self-extinguishing, which means that it does not burn in its own flame.

As a foamed version, chloroprene rubber is known under the brand name Neoprene® and is used as a material for diving and surfing suits.
